Care 4 Cats is a UK registered charity No 1008057. It was started in 2000 to help thousands of stray and feral cats in Ibiza. Formed in 1999 to humanely address the growth of feral cat populations in Ibiza, Balearics and to encourage the neutering of cats generally. Often, unneutered domestic cats become stray cats and start feral colonies, so education can be a key way of preventing future feral cats. They operate a policy of trap/neuter/return the most humane and effective method to reduce feral cat populations.

At Cats Protection, we help more than 193,000 cats and kittens every year thanks in no small part to our network of over 250 volunteer-run branches and 29 adoption centres. These include the charity's flagship adoption centre in Chelwood Gate, Sussex where our administrative offices can also be found. Cats Protection is governed by a Board of Trustees which, in turn, is advised on its decisions by a Council of appointed representatives of the charity's membership.
